Becoming a member of the Southern MN Alliance Chapter has many benefits, however there are a few costs required to cover insurance fees and the costs of maintaining our database. Listed below are the costs and benefits of joining the Chapter as a member.
Memberships are required for game attendance. New players will be granted a 3 month trial membership.
The following are the rates for the upcoming 2012 Season.
Two Day Event PC – $60, $10 dollar discount for Pre-registering – 50 with prereg
Two Day Event NPC – $10, $5 dollar discount for Pre-registering – $5 with prereg
One Day Event PC – $25, $5 dollar discount for Pre-registering – 20 with prereg
One Day Event NPC – $5 + stern talking to, free and no talking to with pre-registration.
Yearly Memberships
Alliance Southern Minnesota is now proud to announce our new Yearly Membership Plans!
New Player Plan – Free – All new players get a 3-month free membership their first game!
Basic/Quarterly – $5 – Able to play, lasts for 3 months
Basic – $15 – Able to play, able to buy monthly blankets, lasts for 12 months
Silver – $140 – Able to play, lasts 1 year, all events are HALF off, +1 Magic Item Pick
Gold – $265 – Able to play, lasts 1 year, all events are FREE, +2 Magic Item Picks
Platinum – $300 – Able to play, lasts 1 year, all events are FREE, includes all monthly blankets, and an additional Magic Item Pick
Travellers – Special – Travellers from other chapters do not need to purchase a SoMN membership to play
The above pricing is designed to help our players who make a majority of events save some money by paying up front, why can we do this? Simple having the money up front allows us to save some money on camp reservations and take advantage of savings by buying things we need to run the game when they are cheapest, so we pass those savings onto you!
As an added benefit a Silver or higher member will include automatic blankets for any event you are unable to make, and grant additional goblin stamps equal to a donation of $25 or $50 for any event you physically attend but choose to npc!
As always, SoMN does NOT require membership for traveling players with an active membership in their home chapter, however in order to monthly blanket you must have a SoMN membership, and if you reside and play mostly in SoMN please be honest and purchase a membership as the traveler’s waiver is designed to welcome fellow larpers from other chapters that come to visit!
Those who NPC are also granted the following:
- A teacher card for any skill of your choice to any character of your choice
- 1 MI pick/ day, but only if you stay the whole event. I.e. if you only NPC until Saturday midday on a weekend event, you forfeit your MI picks
- 30 GS/ day NPC’d, plus possible bonuses if you put in extra effort, such as cleaning up NPC Camp
- The NPC’s character card of their choice credited with the event experience
