Southern MN Alliance is dedicated to operating a quality game and our staff strives to improve all aspects to the best of our abilities. This requires a vast amount of resources, as well as countless hours of work and help is always appreciated, but optional. Player donations of time, supplies, or even cash are just one of the many ways that these needs can be met, and it has benefits for the giver in the form of Goblin Stamps. Goblin Stamps can be turned in for a variety of things, as listed below. This section is reviewed and modified to reflect our current needs roughly every three months. Any time a change is made we will honor all previous rates for 15 days after the change is announced, both on this website and the Alliance LARP forum. If you have something to donate and the rate has changed (not in your favor) let us know at info@mnalliance.com within 15 days and we will honor the old rate until a reasonable time that you can donate the item (The next game, or when one of our staff can swing by if you are within our borders.)

Remember that all donations not only help you develop your character, but also help develop a higher quality game for all to enjoy. In general if an item is not listed above, check with our staff for a rate on any donations. Otherwise basic rates are below:

  • Cash 4GS per Dollar
  • Basic Worked Donations (These include tailored Tabards, and anything that requires basic assembly) — 3 Goblin stamps per dollar + 20Gs/hr for the hours worked
  • Advanced Work Donations (These include Costuming pieces with multiple seams, or anything that is a complex assembly/well crafted donation) — 3 Goblin Stamps per dollar + 40GS/hr for the hours worked

Donations That Are Always Needed

There are many items that are always in demand in the Southern Minnesota Alliance Chapter, they are listed below:

Packets – 1GS/2 Packets (specific requests for packets or large packet donations may warrant 1/1 or additional bonuses if Props is made aware of the donation ahead of time)
Armor Phys Reps – Must qualify as 2 armor points per zone on at least half the areas it covers.  Treated as Advanced Work Donations or 10gs/$ rate for bought items of sufficient quality
Cloth Costuming – 5 Goblin Stamps per Dollar Spent
“Nobility Level” Costuming – will be treated as Advanced Work Donation with bonuses, or will receive a 10GS/$ rate for bought items of sufficient quality
Tabards (basic single color or undead print) – 30 Goblin Stamps, 35 Goblin Stamps with at least one pocket. –Tabard donations must have tailored edges and necklines, and measure at least 2.33 yards (7 feet) from end to end and 20-24 inches wide.–
Make up and Sponges/Brushes – 3 Goblin Stamps per dollar spent (including shipping.) We prefer water based performance makeup from www.mehron.com. Contact info@mnalliance.com for specific colors needed, or we can always use the basics (greens, white, black, red, brown.)

Weapons by Length (SoMN Alliance LARP will now accept only Ultralight constructed Weapons, excluding Staffs, Bows and daggers) Additional GS may be awarded for artistry. Weapons must pass safety check to be awarded full GS. Weapons that do not pass may be evaluated for cost of materials vs. cost of repairs.

Additional Goblin Stamps are awarded for creative, unique, or exceptionally well crafted physical weapon, or armor reps.
